Committed to quick and convenient delivery of citizen services, the Government of Rajasthan set up the eMitra platform of eGovernance way back in the year 2004. Currently, over 400 G2C and B2C services are being provided through this platform across all rural & urban areas in 33 districts of the State. And new services are being added to its fold regularly. The eMitra service delivery points – centres & kiosks – are run on a Public-Private Partnership model. The name eMitra finds its origin in the Sanskrit word, Mitrah (मित्र) meaning Friend.
SOFTTECH as a LOCAL Service Provider (LSP)
SOFTTECH is an authorised LSP under eMitra Project of "RISL(Raj Comp Info Service Ltd.)" which is a Govt. Company Governed by DoIT&c, GOR. Softtech is empaneled since 2015 and working in 6 DIstricts with more than 1500 emitra Kiosks.
An Information Technology Gyan Kendra (ITGK) is established by an aspirant entrepreneur/ organisation and authorized by RKCL as per its norms for conducting RS-CIT and other programs / courses. The ITGK shall also be a special center of VMOU for RS-CIT Course and shall be one of the collaborators along with RKCL and VMOU for delivering the RS-CIT Course.
Reaching village level people for enabling them IT literate and ready to survive in today’s digital Era, Government of Rajasthan set up the RKCL- An IT Formwork of IT Skill and Education, Incorporated way back in the year 2008, Apr 25. Currently, over 60,000 ITGK are established & spreading Digital Literacy through this platform across all rural & urban areas in 33 districts of the State. And new ITGK are being added to its fold regularly. The ITGK – centres are run on Public-Private Partnership model

RKCL - Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited is a Public Limited Company established in Rajasthan as a joint venture of Government of Rajasthan; Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL), Pune; University of Rajasthan; Jaipur, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur; Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota; Rajcomp Info Services Ltd. and Centre for e-governance.
It was incorporated on 25th April 2008 under the Companies Act, 1956 having CIN U 80302 RJ 2008 PLC 026433
The main objective of company is to develop a new educational framework which can plan, implement, supervise and regulate the developing needs for IT skills in the 21st century in the State of Rajasthan by promoting the IT enabled education programs as practiced in the Departments of School, Higher, Technical and Medical Education, Government of Rajasthan and to take all such action as may be deemed to be necessary to provide high quality education including better connectivity, computer skills and coordination amongst all educational institutions, universities, students and the Government, as well as to obtain sponsorships, institutional backups and financial support for the present and future programs and responsibilities accepted on behalf of the State Government.
SOFTTECH as a Service Provider
A Service Provider is a business entity empaneled by Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL) to create and manage RKCL’s Authorised Information Technology Gyan Kendras (ITGKs) in the state of Rajasthan. Softtech is an authorised SERVICE PROVIDER of RKCL and working in all districts of Rajasthan with 150 ITGK (Information Technology Gyaan Kendra) all over the rajasthan.
Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan is the scheme to make six crore persons in rural areas, across States/UTs, digitally literate, reaching to around 40% of rural households by covering one member from every eligible household by 31st March, 2019.
The Scheme would empower the citizens in rural areas by training them to operate computer or digital access devices (like tablets, smart phones etc.), send and receive e-mails, browse Internet, access Government services, search for information, undertake digital payment etc. and hence enable them to use the Information Technology and related applications especially Digital Payments to actively participate in the process of nation building. The Scheme aims to bridge the digital divide, specifically targeting the rural population including the marginalised sections of society like Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST), Minorities, Below Poverty Line (BPL), women and differently-abled persons and minorities.
Softtech as a TP (Training Partner)
Softtech is also having authorisation from Government of India as Training Partner for Digital India's well known Digital Literacy project PMGDISHA. softtech is having 3500 Training centers under this project and more than 10000 students registered for digital literacy.
